Radius Apartments is situated in the South Eola neighborhood of downtown Orlando.
The 13-story building has 550,000 sf of elevated deck and utilizes reinforced concrete slabs. Beginning with a footprint of close to 50,000 sf up to Level Seven, the building then transitions to 35,000 sf per level up to the roof. The project included a transfer slab at Level Seven with slabs up to 30” thick. UFI worked with the structural engineer to minimize the amount of reshored levels under the transfer slab, allowing the General Contractor to begin work on the lower levels earlier. Although the project experienced design delays due to unforeseen underground utilities, UFI was able to gain a significant amount of the lost time back by the time the project topped out.
