This student housing project was designed and constructed on an accelerated schedule, with construction beginning before design was even completed. UFI provided design assist and full turnkey services for the five-story, 250,000 sf structure.
During the design assist portion, UFI converted the planned block and plank structure to a cast-in-place structure with 8” mild reinforced slabs, saving the project significant time and money without sacrificing structural integrity. The accelerated schedule required close and frequent attention to the progression of design drawings to ensure the project stayed on track with schedule and budget.
